Thermo Fisher introduces Olink Reveal

This tool identifies circulating biomarkers for a variety of applications

Biotechnology company Thermo Fisher Scientific has introduced Olink Reveal, a proteomics research tool that enables researchers to identify circulating biomarkers for a variety of applications.

“We have collaborated with researchers from around the world to rigorously test the Olink Reveal protocol, validating both its ease-of-use and robustness,” says Thermo Fisher’s president of proteomic sciences Carl Raimond.

“These labs represent a diverse set of application and disease areas with previous experience in different methods such as next-generation sequencing and mass spectrometry.”

Olink Reveal measures about 1,000 human proteins to broadly screen the proteome while allowing for the deep characterisation of inflammation processes.

The tool minimises the extensive instrumentation that characterises traditional proteomics workflow.

Overall, the process accessible to more laboratories that previously were limited by infrastructure or limited resources, because only a few manual or automated pipetting steps are required.

Designed to integrate with existing workflows, Olink Reveal runs on NGS platforms, including the Illumina NextSeq 2000, NovaSeq X, and NovaSeq 6000.

Olink Reveal is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic procedures.
