Extended diagnostic solutions on show at trade fair

Analytical solutions manufacturer Bruker will show several new products that enhance clinical microbiology and infection diagnostics at the upcoming ESCMID Global 2024 conference.

The products will include a new MBT Pathínder IVD robot for automated Maldi Biotyper target preparation and a new LiquidArray MTB-XDR panel for simultaneous detection of M. tuberculosis complex bacteria, and their resistances to líve WHO-recommended second-line drugs against multidrug-resistant tuberculosis.

The products will enhance the company's diagnostic solutions in microbial identiícation, antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST), early sepsis diagnostics, and other infectious disease assays. Simplifying microbiology and infectious disease diagnostics and workîows in the clinical laboratory is a key goal for Bruker in support of earlier and improved patient treatment decisions.

The company will also show its latest Maldi Biotyper workîow uses MBT Compass HT IVD software to increase throughput up to 600 samples per hour, and automated instrument tuning viaID ealTune. An optional workîow now offers semiautomated sample preparation via the MBT Pathínder IVD robot to avoid time-consuming, repetitive and errorprone manual tasks.
